The earliest prayer which is ever likely to be prayed by a person, who happens to be learning about God and wants to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ is a prayer of repentance. It is a very simple prayer in which a remorseful individual, talks to God to forgive him or her of past actions or thought which are not in accordance with the laws of God Almighty.
Receiving Jesus Christ into your life is the best decision you could ever make in life. You might think, 'hey, what's the big issue about the man named Jesus Christ in the bible?' Yes, the big issue about this man is that he created you, yes he created you!
Jesus Christ is not like any other man, born of a woman or by any other means for that matter, among all the rest who have ever existed. He created everyone of us, and for that he deserves our loyalty. The reason why i serve the Lord is because he created me, and for that i am answerable to him, and hence it demands that i live in accordance with his principles of love. Most people, do say they can't belief in something if they cannot see it, especially in relation to religious beliefs which contains statements that cannot be verified, quite unlike other scientific doubts which can be proved or disproved by anyone. However, this is not some blind belief theory as some may perceive. The problem here, is that we cannot see God or satan (who religious people also claim to be in existence), or even angels for that matter. This can be straining on the mind, notwithstanding, the ultimate issue here is to take a step of trust in God, based on what he repeatedly says in the scriptures in Isaiah 57 vs 15, that he is in existence. (this is referenced here, because he says he lives forever, and by inference, it means that he still communicates to mankind through the book, called the 'holy bible' or 'bible' for short) The bible verse, Isaiah 57 vs 15 is in quote below:
"I am the high and holy God, who lives forever. I live in a high and holy place, but I also live with people who are humble and repentant, so that I can restore their confidence and hope."
As a matter of fact, the only way we can know that God exists is because it is recorded that he does exist, in the scripture, written by different people over a period of 1400 years, who were not directly linked by the standard of intimate relationships, but who had a striking similarity of ideology too homogeneous to have been by cooked up, also the biblical writers couldn't have met together to write some literature because they never lived in the same timeline (this duration spans over 1400 years).
What makes christians belief in the existence of God is actually 100% based on the strength of the character of God (which again is based on his words in the bible implying that notion). Some of the few characteristics of God which are of relevance to this particular topic are faithfulness and truthfulness.
"So that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.- Heb. 6 vs 18 "
The coolest thing about this prayer is that it makes God (because of Jesus Christ) to allow human beings who sincerely say this prayer, to be able to associate with him by bodily contact and not be destroyed should they ever get to meet him face to face. This is somewhat of a reflex action of God's behaviour. He just can't stand impurity, period. His holiness would consume the person (who again was created by God to be immortal. Immortality is only achievable after the death of a person, occurring in the spiritual body form - in Luke 12 vs 20, God used the word 'life', which is by inference 'immortality'). This fire-driven devouring painful process is a never-ending occurrence, or an infinite-cycled activity which is autonomous (the soul of the individual will keep rejuvenating because of his/her powerful spiritual body state, but will also keep being devoured by God's holiness due to the state of incompatibility with God resulting from sin).
So, you might need to pray this prayer by taking out time from your busy schedule, to utilise this golden opportunity called life, (while you are still in your weak physical bodily form), to escape this very great wrath of God. Sadly, there is no atonement recorded in the scriptures for those who have died in sin, because at such a powerful spiritual bodily state, an individual will not have any use for God, stemming from the fact that he/she will be able to do superhuman things; like, being unable to die, travel at 70 km/second (the speed of lightning - Ezekiel 1 vs 14), among other biblical sourced abilities. There is essentially no higher order of control available to make amendment for such ably-corrupt living entities for example satan (a fallen cherub) and the fallen angels (demons), Jere. 10 vs 6. Hence God locks them in eternal darkness, where there is no escape from such a location. We know that satan is a cherub from the statement God made, in reference to him in Ezekiel 28 vs 14-15.
You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so i ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. - Ezekiel 28 vs 14 - 15
We may not always have a feeling of deep connection with God in this world all the time as we would have with our fellow human beings, because we can't see God with our eyes (despite him being the literal sun of heaven) or experience some stimulus which other observers who don't share our faith can reasonably measure. Nevertheless God says we should obey his instructions, even if our hearts or tone of mind doesn't quite feel like it. So, obedience to God is not based on emotions but completely on thoughts and actions or inactions alone. God wants everyone to keep his commandments with the new testament being a commandment of love as the founding principle, as he made do away with the old testament practices of animal sacrifices. God, who retains the only right to judge has also made Israel's territorial war history practices obsolete forever, making it cease to be effective with the refinement of the early laws with his new sovereign-unchangeable commandments of love by the law giver - our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, over 2000 years ago, in (Hebrews 10:9–10).
