The immortality of God and his love for all mankind to live eternally with him.

From the beginning, God created human beings, and he did so by his ever living spirit, this we know from the book of Gen. 2:7 and Gen. 1 : 26 (an excerpt below).

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."-KJV

But there is a consequence of this unique action, which God took when he created man, after creating other things. Notice in Gen. 1:21 - 25, that God never made mention of creating other living things (animals and plants) other than man, in his own image and likeness.

Our concern here, is not image, but likeness, yes, circle that word "likeness". The word of God, lets us know that one of many characteristics of the likeness or nature of God, is that of immortality, and this helps us understand that, whatever creature God creates in his own "likeness" bears core characteristics of his, containing; immortality among the rest.

Now as God made man in this likeness of his, the fall of man from the time of Adam only made the tendencies of us spending that irreversibly innate immortality with God dependent on our obedience to his divine laws.

If you obey the laws of God and keep his ordinances, you will spend immortality with God, as he promised us in his word.

God is faithful to his word, be sure of that.
